Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Continues to Lead
The biggest highlight of the Best Selling 7 Seater Cars in India June 2026 list is the continued success of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
The MPV sold 16,111 units, growing by 13.9% compared to the same month last year. It also captured 20.5% of the entire segment, meaning roughly one out of every five 7-seater vehicles sold in June was an Ertiga.
Its affordable pricing, fuel-efficient petrol and CNG options, spacious cabin and low maintenance costs continue to make it the first choice for Indian families.
Mahindra Dominates the SUV Segment
If one manufacturer truly stood out during June, it was Mahindra.
The company placed four models inside the top seven rankings, showing just how strong its SUV portfolio has become.
The Scorpio retained second place with 14,097 units, while the XUV7X0 delivered one of the biggest growth stories of the month. Sales increased by an impressive 49.1%, reaching 9,244 units.
The Bolero also continued its remarkable performance, recording 9,115 units with 21.9% growth. Even after many years in the market, the Bolero remains a trusted choice, especially in rural and semi-urban India.
Mahindra’s new 9S entered the rankings with 4,018 units, giving the company an even stronger presence across multiple price segments.
Toyota Experiences Mixed Results
Toyota had a mixed month in June.
The combined sales of the Innova and Hycross stood at 7,332 units, which was lower than last year’s performance. Although sales declined by 16.7%, the Innova family continues to enjoy a strong reputation among buyers seeking comfort, reliability, and premium travel.
The Fortuner also saw a slight decline but remained one of India’s most popular premium ladder-frame SUVs
On the positive side, Rumion posted one of the highest growth rates in the segment. Sales jumped by 67.9%, making it one of the fastest-growing family MPVs during June.
Kia Faces Increased Competition
Kia’s combined sales of the Carens and Clavis reached 4,847 units during June 2026.
Compared to last year, sales dropped by 38.8%. Despite the decline, the Carens continues to attract buyers looking for a practical, feature-rich family vehicle with flexible seating and modern technology.
XL6, Triber and Safari Continue Their Growth
Several other models also delivered encouraging results.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 recorded 2,711 units, registering 34.8% year-on-year growth.
Renault Triber sold 1,871 units, while Tata Safari reached 1,271 units, reflecting growing interest in affordable family-oriented vehicles as well as premium SUVs
These models continue to attract buyers with their combination of practicality, safety features and value for money.
Premium 7-Seater Models Remain Niche
Luxury 7-seater vehicles accounted for a relatively small share of the market.
Toyota Vellfire sold 140 units, while Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian recorded 106 and 84 units, respectively.
Volkswagen Tayron entered the market with 43 units, while Kia Carnival finished the month with 30 units.
