In January 2025, Honda sold 12,304 units globally (domestic + exports), marking a 6.87% YoY decline from 13,212 units in January 2024.
However, the company’s year-to-date (YTD) performance for FY25 remains positive, with cumulative sales reaching 1,03,944 units, up 6.98% compared to FY24.

Honda Cars Sales 2025 January
Honda’s domestic sales fell to 7,325 units in January 2025 from 8,681 units in January 2024, a loss of 1,357 units. This 15.62% YoY drop reflects ongoing challenges like supply chain adjustments and competitive pressure in the sedan segment.
The brand rebounded strongly from December 2024’s 5,603 units, registering a 30.73% MoM growth. This surge aligns with typical post-festive season recovery and new model launches.
Exports surged to 4,979 units in January 2025, up 9.89% YoY (from 4,531 units in 2024). Markets in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East contributed to this growth, highlighting Honda’s strategic focus on global expansion.
The 3rd Gen Amaze, launched in late 2024, revitalized interest in Honda’s entry-level sedan. Its refreshed design and feature-packed variants attracted budget-conscious buyers, contributing significantly to January’s MoM growth.
The Elevate Black Edition added a premium edge to Honda’s SUV lineup. With bold aesthetics and enhanced tech, it strengthened the brand’s foothold in the competitive compact SUV segment.
The City Apex Edition continued the sedan’s dominance in the C-segment. Targeted at enthusiasts, its sporty design and performance upgrades helped maintain steady demand despite sedan market headwinds.
Honda’s YTD sales for FY25 (April 2024–January 2025) stand at 1,03,944 units, up 6.98% from 97,164 units in FY24. This growth underscores the brand’s recovery trajectory, fueled by new launches and export strategies.
