Mahindra Scorpio safety rating, Mahindra company has once again shown its prowess in car manufacturing as the Mahindra Thar XUV 700 has received a top rating in other car safety tests.

The Mahindra Scorpio N, the latest made-in-India SUV, has achieved a 5-star rating in the latest round of Global NCAP safety tests under the new safety test protocols.

Global NCAP has also crash-tested the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ignis, and S-Presso; All three achieved a 1-star rating in Global NCAP.

Mahindra SCORPIO SAFETY RATING

This new Mahindra Scorpio safety rating has received a 5-star rating in Global NCAP adult occupant safety; However, it earns a 3-star rating in child occupant tests.

GNCAP said the SUV was tested to basic safety specification and equipped with dual front airbags & ABS. ESC & side airbags are not offered as standard.

MAHINDRA SCORPIO GLOBAL NCAP RATING

It scored 29.25 out of 34 points in adult occupant protection tests. Global NCAP rated the new Scorpio N as providing good head and neck protection for the driver and passengers.

It provides marginal protection to the front occupant’s chest in a collision. The new Mahindra Scorpio N impresses with this rating.

MAHINDRA SCORPIO N GLOBAL SAFETY RAING INDIA

The new Mahindra Scorpio N offers good protection to passengers in the side impact test with a deformable barrier. The Scorpio N scored 16 out of 17 points in the side impact test.

The result reveals that the SUV protects the occupant’s head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis during a collision.

GLOBAL NCAP RATING MAHINDRA SCORPIO

In the side pole impact test, the Scorpio N curtain airbags met the fitment requirements, and the pole impact test was conducted on the version equipped with side head protection airbags.

It shows good protection for the head, abdomen, and pelvis and weak protection for the chest. The ESC (Electronic Stability Control) performance is acceptable as per the latest requirements of Global NCAP.

Global NCAP claims that the car’s body shell and footwell area are stable and capable of withstanding subsequent loadings.

MAHINDRA SCORPIO SAFETY RATING

In the child occupant protection tests, the new Mahindra Scorpio N scored 28.93 out of 49 points. It scored 4.93 points out of 12 for child restraint system installation and a maximum dynamic score of 24.

The Mahindra Scorpio safety rating was tested with 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies, with both seats rear-mounted using i-size anchorages and a support leg.

Both prevent head exposure during a frontal impact providing full protection. CRS provides complete protection against side impact. It does not offer 3-point seat belts in all seating positions.
